6G-XR Platform and Network Enablers
The purpose of Open Call 1 was to address identified gaps in the current 6G-XR experimental infrastructure and targets its further development and extension to make them ready for advanced experimentation in upcoming project open calls for experimentation.
For the first Open Call, four key areas were identified for which third parties were invited to propose solutions.
Networking, computing enablers
such as slicing, service migration, orchestration, security.
XR enablers
including XR media processing and delivery functions along the end-to-end chain.
RAN enablers
interesting and innovative, but sufficiently mature, RAN technologies.
Sustainability enablers
for local green energy, controlling energy sources and charging/discharging, energy measurement and optimization solutions.

- CAMARA QoD implementation over Open5GS
- Fab Lab digital twin environment
- Advancing Heterogeneous XR Capture Systems

- Wireless Connectivity for XR Sensors

- Low-latency or scalable streaming protocols and methods for XR
